With polls open for early voting through March 14, many people are taking the opportunity to make their voices heard. For a first time voter, this can be both an exciting and nerve wracking experience.

Twenty-year-old Macey Coppinger cast her very first ballot recently. When that was over, she gave some insight to other first-time voters.

“If you don’t vote, you don’t have any say in the future of the state, the country. It’s really an important thing, because even if your person gets it or not, you at least feel accomplished because you tried. You attempted to make life better for how you see fit,” Coppinger said.
