An accident that happened near the 201 mile marker on Interstate 55 Thursday claimed the life of one.

According to Livingston County Coroner Danny Watson, a 20-year-old Plainfield woman lost her life just before 2 p.m. yesterday afternoon when her car left the southbound lane of the interstate, crossing the median into oncoming traffic.

Her name has not been released and there is no information on the condition of the others involved in the crash.
