Illinois State Police are updating the public concerning the ongoing search of a man who is wanted for aggravated battery with a firearm.
Police are still searching for Dracy “Clint” Pendleton after he allegedly shot a Mahomet police officer Saturday. Pendleton was last seen Monday morning wearing a black shirt, camouflage pants and boots. He has shaved his beard and trimmed his hair since the incident.
Police are searching for Pendleton in northern Pope County and are hoping to have a peaceful resolution to the situation with Pendleton turning himself in without incident.
The public is asked to call the Illinois State Police at 618-542-1483 or 911 if they have information of the whereabouts of Pendleton.
