Christian Laettner, of Duke and NBA basketball fame and the only collegiate member of the 1992 Olympics gold medal-winning Dream Team will be coming to Pontiac June 5 through 7 for various events benefitting The Basketball Museum of Illinois.

WJEZ’s own Mark Myer sat down with Laettner recently and he talked about the excitement he had for the team and coaching clinics and opportunities to meet people from the area.

“I can’t wait for it. I love doing stuff like this,” Laettner said. “I’ve been doing it for five years. I’m going to come up there, be on the court standing there, running them through the drills. I know I really, really enjoy doing this.”
