The Livingston County Jail has a new addition that will help families visit with those who are detained.
Livingston County Sheriff Tony Childress explains the jail now has Internet video visitation.
“This program will allow detainees’ family to visit from the convenience of their own home. Along with visits, detainees will be able to file different requests, such as medical requests online. Also, our detainees at the jail will have access to the Livingston County Law Library online. We think this is a very positive program moving in the right direction with today’s technology,” Childress said.
