The United Way of Livingston County has just announced the new fundraising goal for 2016-2017.

Deb Howard, executive director, said with the addition of two new agencies to the existing 17, there was no choice but to increase the goal.

“We’ve raised our goal this year because the need is greater. We had two new agencies come to the table this year, so we were looking at needing to raise an additional $31,000. Our goal now is $197,500,” Howard said.

The new agencies involved are Mid Central Community Action and the Boys and Girls Club of Prairie Central.
