Pontiac Indians defeated IVC on Tuesday evening by a score of 7-2. With the Indians’ win they are now 11-1 in the Corn Belt Conference and have won the outright conference title for the first time since 1989.
Jacob Curry pitched 6 strong innings on the mound, scattering 6 hits but only allowing 1 earned run. Kye Comincioli closed out the 7th inning, allowing 1 hit and no runs. Kyle also paced the offense, hitting a 3 run homer plus two more runs. Christian Schuler added a double to the mix and Seth Cunningham went 2-3 with a run scored for the Indians.
Pontiac is back in action at Rantoul for a non-conference game today starting at 4:30pm.
