The CornBelters winning streak ended at four as the Washington Wild Things scored twice in the ninth for a walk-off 4-3 win. The Belters send last week’s Pitcher of the Week Charlie Gillies to the mound against the Things’ Luke Wilkins in suburban Pittsburgh. WJBC.com pre-game is 5:50 with a 6:05 Central first pitch.

The Cardinals split Tuesday in New York by winning the opener 3-2 but falling to the Mets in the nightcap 3-1. Tonight, right-handers Adam Wainwright for the Cardinals and Logan Verrett for the Mets match up on the mound with pre-game on WJBC-AM 1230 at 5:15.
The White Sox shut out the Cubs 3-0 behind the sixth straight quality start by James Shields. The crosstown series now shifts to Wrigley Field tonight as Anthony Ranaudo makes his Sox debut while the Cubs send Jason Hammel to the hill.
