The University of Illinois Extension is teaching people “What To Do with Your Fragrant Herbs” at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the Master Gardeners’ herb garden at the Illinois State University horticulture center in Normal.

Kelly Allsup, horticulture educator for the Extension, has more.

“What the Master Gardeners have done is they’ve taken a very popular garden plant – herbs. Herbs are so popular and so easy to grow. So they’ve built a demonstration garden and one of the things they wanted to show people is how to preserve some of those beautiful fragrant herbs from the garden, like lavender, rosemary, sage and thyme,” Allsup said.

To register for this class, call the McLean County Extension office at 309-663-8306.
