The University of Illinois Extension Master Gardeners and the Yost House are partnering to present a special program about several uses of herbs from 1 to 2 Saturday at the Yost House Lawn in Pontiac.

Kelly Allsup, extension horticulture educator, has more about this make it and take it workshop.

“The workshop is going to focus on herbal preparation for personal care. For instance, they’re going to make a scrub. They’re going to teach you to add herbs to your bath to invigorate. It’s just another cool way to use your herbs. You’re not just eating them – you’re actually using them for yourself,” Allsup said.
