The work to upgrade the railroad crossing at Ladd and Reynolds streets continues.

The work to raise the intersection began yesterday and will restrict traffic flow at the intersection. The Illinois Department of Transportation asks that semi tractor-trailers avoid that intersection during construction. Those wishing to reach businesses on Ladd Street south of Reynolds are asked to use the temporary gravel lane, located on Route 66 south of Pontiac, which will be marked with detour signs.

The bulk of the work is expected to be completed by Thanksgiving, with the entire project completion date of May 15, 2017.
