The Fairbury Woman’s Club is organizing Operation Santa with a helping hand from Dave’s Supermarket.

Carol Ely, secretary of the club, said Dave’s Supermarket is bagging needed items to send overseas to troops, and people interested in buying supplies to fill the stockings have one simple step.

“The bags are stuffed with items they can use and the Girl Scout troop here in town does that for us. If you can’t get to the store before October 4, you can always call them and charge it on your credit card. It’s just another way of helping out,” Ely said.
