A two vehicle accident early Wednesday afternoon in rural Forrest took the life of a Forrest woman.

According to Livingston County Coroner Danny Watson, 86-year-old Dorothy A. Trainor was pronounced dead at the scene of the car versus UPS truck accident. Watson said Trainor was westbound on 2100 North Road and stopped at the stop sign at 2900 East Road, then proceeded into the intersection and made contact with the UPS delivery truck.

The accident is under investigation by the Livingston County Sheriff’s Police and the coroner’s office. An autopsy has been ordered.
