The Livingston County Soil and Water Conservation District is holding a fall tree sale.

Education Coordinator Debbie Ruff said fall is the perfect time to plant trees, especially this fall, since the ground is wet and trees can take root better.

“This year, we’re going to offer several different varieties of fruit trees, both standard and dwarf. And then we also offer potted trees and large whips, and then also some container evergreens and, small potted trees and also plants that can be used for hedging. So these are plants that can be used when you’re doing wind breaks, buy they are also perfectly great for front yards, back yards, side yards – whatever,” Ruff said.

The SWCD is taking orders through Wednesday with all orders available for pick up October 13. For more information or to order trees, call 844-6127 extension 3.
