A semi versus pickup truck accident at the intersection of Route 24 and Historic 66 injured one Friday evening.

According to a crash release from District 6 State Police, Marshall Ruhlander of Pontiac was driving southbound on 66 and had stopped at 24 and proceeded through the intersection. A semi driven by John Lowman of Vandalia was westbound on 24 and failed to stop at the four way stop and struck Ruhlander’s vehicle on the driver’s side.

Ruhlander was taken to OSF Saint Joseph Medical Center where his condition is unknown at this time.

Lowman was cited for failing to stop or yield at a stop sign.
