Pontiac’s newest affordable housing complex held its grand opening yesterday.

St. James Place is located on Water Street on property left vacant when St. James Hospital was rebuilt and Todd Harris, facilities manager and modernization coordinator for the Livingston County Housing Authority said the new complex has multiple positive attributes.

“It’s really big for Pontiac. It offers us a lot of opportunities for affordable housing for many of the people who live in the area. It’s another option from public housing and I think it’s a great facility that some people are going to be proud to call home,” Harris said.
