The Prairie Central softball team is holding a fundraiser from 5:30 to 8:30 Saturday at McDonald’s Family Restaurant in Fairbury.

Coach Tim McGuire explained that $10 will buy you either a chicken or pork dinner, and team members will wait on you while at the restaurant. McGuire explains what the funds will be used for.

“It’s actually going to finish up the project on the press box and then we put new roofs on the dugouts, so it’s going to those two things exclusively. We’ve been so fortunate. Our goal for the press box was to raise $10,000 and we’re almost right exactly to that goal now, so we’re doing some final things to take care of the dugouts. I can’t thank the community and friends from afar enough, not to mention the people who donated their time,” McGuire said.
