The Pontiac Fire Department is reaching out to residents and reminding them about burning ordinances within city limits.

Pontiac Fire Chief Scott Runyon has more.

“Just a reminder: We’re not allowed to burn leaves in the city. We are not allowed to burn brush, such as small limbs, grass and so on. Place your leaves on the curb, not in the gutter, but on the curb and the city will come pick them up.  Once again, so leaf burning within the city limits. You can go to the Pontiac website, go to ‘fire department’, go to ‘prevention’ and the city ordinance is right there,” Runyon said.
