Pontiac Township High School environmental science students are bringing us P2D2 Green Day from 9 to 1 Saturday at the Pontiac Police Department.

Teacher Paul Ritter explained that this was a chance to bring unneeded prescription medication to a safe place for proper disposal.

“Whether it’s the toilet or the garbage, we don’t want it (prescriptions) in either. You see these ads out there telling people to put them in the garbage and that’s not a safe choice, either,” Ritter said.

The Pontiac Police Department is located at the Pontiac Public Safety Complex at 413 North Mill Street.
