The US Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington recently implemented new security protocols for continued patron safety.
Beginning last Saturday, walk-though metal detectors are being used at all entrance doors. Patrons will be asked to place large belt buckles, eyeglass cases, cameras and cell phones into small trays prior to metal detector screening. They will be allowed to keep belts, hats, shoes, watches, wallets and coins on their person.
Other security measures that will be followed include taking all coats and jackets off to be screened, bags will be subject to visual inspection, all bags entering must be soft sided and smaller than 13x13x13, and backpacks and weapons are not allowed inside.
Patrons should plan to arrive early to account for the new security screenings.
