With holiday shopping underway and Black Friday quickly approaching, a whole new batch of scams are appearing.
Pontiac Police Chief Jim Woolford was a guest on a recent Community Forum, and addressed the things you DON’T do over the phone that will help protect you and your personal information.
“Don’t give out credit card information, Social Security numbers, any information of yours that could be used to fill out any applications for credit or loans or any type of services,” Woolford said.
The full Forum is available at WJEZ.com where Woolford addresses phone, email, post office mail and even smart phone app scams and how to avoid them.
