Man faces battery charge
PONTIAC - A Pontiac man has been charged with aggravated battery and resisting a peace officer, in Livingston County Court.
Matthew Runyon, 19, is accused of grabbing and pushing a pregnant woman on Monday, according to Livingston County Court records. Runyon also reportedly struggled with a Pontiac Police officer by twisting his body and trying to trip the officer.

Jail cleared in inmate death
PONTIAC - Following a review of written reports and video surveillance, the Illinois Department of Corrections found no violations by the Livingston County Jail, after an inmate died in November.
Joseph Stewart, 50, of Normal died at OSF Saint James Medical Center in Pontiac – a day after he was arrested near Pontiac.
