With more than 240 people registered for the Central Illinois Iron Pigs Motorcycle Club’s Kasey Kohlmeier Memorial Ride, club members deemed the event a success.
Club Chapter President Michael Wittenberg said the club appreciated the great weather for the day and the turnout of supporters.
“Oh, it was amazing. It was probably almost double what we did last year,” Wittenberg said. “People from Livingston County and beyond – we had people from Tennessee and Iowa show up, our club members from all around the country – and then the locals. It was a great showing. Livingston County really came through for us. We did a great job this year.”
The final tally of funds raised will be announced in the future and all proceeds will benefit the Special Olympics of Illinois.
